A gift of love

Working with traditional media is a form of meditation, I want to throw my brush around furiously and at times I want to try a gentle approach as well. Decisions have to be made before committing the brush to the sheet of paper and in the small mishaps come the learning.

This approach suits my present story as well, I too am learning much like a cub ! There is a tiger inside us that we have to discover and by the time we attain some wisdom and some worth, the specks of gray that age brings will make us too look like a noble beast !

I love tigers and have been working on a few stories too, I guess Its been bottled in for too long and is getting out of me finally !

 I have never been to an art school and have always wanted to work with the traditional medium and now, Im obsessed  with a single thought of relocating to a beach house doing just this and to not work for anyone else.

In a way artists are much like the tiger, fighting extinction in a very fast world which cant permit the luxury of time for wet paint to dry. The very creativity potent in an artist also becomes the cross that he bears and without the right opportunities, he becomes the game in his own hunting grounds.

And then there is refuge in your own art and who else could provide better opportunities than the ones  you can create for yourself ?
